Job Summary:
The overall scope of the Senior Damage Assessor is to conduct on-site damage assessments of properties that have been affected by catastrophic disasters and floods. Damage Assessment includes the use of mobile apps (Xactim) to record housing footprint and floor plans along with a comprehensive and concise photo damage report that reflects storm-related damage. The evaluation will be used to determine and report flood damage, to implement adequate, healthy and sanitary (DSS) housing conditions, as well as any health and safety related issues in compliance with HUD's Housing Quality Standards (HQS). Responsibilities:
- Versed in HUDs (HQS) and (DSS) as well as all relevant program guidelines
- Versed in program guidelines
- Making decisions concerning project types Manage a group of Damage Assessors and QA / QC staff
- Work closely with the Program Management Group and the Construction Committee.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction and/or home inspection.
- Proficient in the use of Xactim software with the ability to obtain Xactim Level II Certification.
- Previous knowledge of Hazard Mitigation Reports (LBP / ACM) is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, sir.
- Excellent computer skills and capabilities.
- Use modern equipment, including cell phones, tablets, scanners, printers, computers, GPS or other handheld devices.
- Prepare and present ideas in a clear and concise manner, both in oral and written form.
- Establish, maintain and facilitate good working relationships with departmental staff, colleagues, contractors and homeowners.
- Must be able to maintain, organize and upload data files using shared folders.
