Job Summary:
Automotive Master Mechanics tests cars to determine the extent of damage or malfunction. We test drive cars and test components and systems using tools such as infrared engine analysers, pressure gauges, and computerized monitoring instruments. One of the main responsibilities as an automotive master mechanic is to update work orders and coordinate work with superiors. Some may also adopt checklists to ensure that all necessary parts are checked, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially problematic areas. Responsibilities:
- Inspect vehicles in order to determine the overall condition.
- Operate transport machinery to show function or malfunction.
- Read the work orders and details of the issues needed to determine the repairs or modifications.
- Confer with colleagues to arrange work activities. Besides the "typical day" stuff that Automotive Master Mechanics do, they fix, relinquish, install, and change the brakes.
- May also meet with customers to provide an overview of the issues of the vehicle and to address the work to be done and future repair specifications.
- Automotive Master Mechanics revises and installs carburetors, blowers, engines, motors, starters and pumps on a weekly or monthly basis.
- Rewire ignition systems, lighting then instrument boards.
- In addition, the boiler leaks were fixed.
- While particular roles can vary, many of them may repair or remove shock absorbers.
- Many Automotive Master Mechanics are also responsible for replacing and changing the headlights.
- Change the vehicle components to the specifications.
- Replace worn, damaged or faulty mechanical parts.
- Repair of non-engine car or automobile parts.
- Assess problems with consumers or clients.
- Replace worn, damaged or faulty mechanical parts.

- Electrical and digital wiring schemes.
- Repair of worn, damaged or faulty mechanical parts.
- Valid driver's license; CDL B license with airbrake authorization (within 90 days of the rental date for aVETIII and at the rental date for VET IV)
- Brake, electrical and steering / suspension for either an automobile or a heavy-duty truck for a VET III
- Master Mechanical license for either a Automobile / Light Truck or a Heavy-Duty Truck Repair for a VET IV License.
