Automotive Sales Consultant

Job Summary:

Sells vehicles by recognizing and displaying characteristics, capabilities and features; attracting and approving purchasers; closing sales.

Responsibilities:
  • Understands vehicles by examining features, capacities and specifications; comparing and contrasting competing models; inspecting automobiles.
  • Develops consumers by maintaining contact with previous customers; promoting trade-ins; meeting opportunities for community activities; accepting drop-ins; responding to inquiries; suggesting marketing strategies and promotions.
  • Qualifies purchasers by knowing the requirements and interests of the purchaser; aligning requirements and interests with different models; establishing partnership.
  • Demonstrates vehicles by describing characteristics, capabilities and features; driving; explaining warranties and services.
  • Closes purchases by resolving objections; requests for sales; negotiates prices; agrees selling or purchasing contracts; describes provisions; explains and provides rewards, products and financing; receives payments; delivers vehicles.
  • Provides information on sales management by completing documents.
  • Updates the awareness of work by engaging in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Enhances the credibility of dealership by taking ownership of new and different requests; seeking ways to add value to job achievements.
  • Suggest and pick goods for customers based on their specific needs 
  • Contact customers in person, by phone and by email to understand their needs 
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the various products and services of the business 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with past customers and potential customers to promote sales 
  • Perform administrative tasks such as sorting and documentation.
