Duties and Responsibilities
- Reports and/or manages billing / invoicing and feeds data into accounting systems. They may either apply or send cash applications for vouchers / invoices. Researches and addresses the problems of accounts receivable.
- Answers questions from other agencies, places and divisions on different accounting issues and statements, including profit and loss reports. Work opens up accounting problems.
- Prepares income statements, balance sheets and various other accounting statements and financial reports for field or management analysis for small to medium-sized clients or markets.
- Reviews and verifies the accuracy of the journal entries and the accounting classifications given to the different records. Review transactions from the subsystem to ensure that the information passed through the various tables and sub-legers are correct.
- Analyzes accounting variances and provides reasons for variances.
- Analyzes documents and documentation, and makes recommendations on the accounting of funds, resources and expenses.
- Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- Maintains, tracks and manages invoices and accounts receivable for small to medium-sized clients / markets or accounts.
- Examines financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards and principles.
- Creates quarterly reporting reports and reconciles inconsistencies; GL updates and checks expenditure variations.
- Certain roles may be assigned.
Management Duties
- There are no specific supervisory duties in this role. May provide informal assistance, such as technical advice and/or training to staff. Might organize and delegate tasks to employees within the work unit and/or plan.

Training and Skill set
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related fields OR equal mix of education and experience. Minimum of two to four years of related experience and/or education including 2 + years of professional level accounting experience, ideally 2 + years of experience in general accounting, A / P, A / R clerical and/or entry level accounting positions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Clear operational and analytical capabilities. Ability to provide customers with secure, prompt, reliable and courteous service. Capacity to provide data efficiently. Proven ability to communicate efficiently, both orally and in writing, and to work effectively with leadership, staff and auditors. Must be able to convey financial issues to non-financial consumers. Capacity to compile, interpret and review information and prepare clear and concise documents.
- Knowledge of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) guidelines. Requires knowledge of financial conditions and values. Capacity to measure intermediate data such as percentages, discounts and/or commissions. Conducts a basic financial analysis. Follows accounting practices to ensure optimal customer satisfaction while safeguarding CBRE's financial interests.
Justification Skill
- Ability to understand, evaluate and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems containing a number of options in situations. It needs intermediate analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, verbal, diagram or calendar type.
Other Expertise and Aptitudes
- Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite applications. Training in computer accounting and financial management systems.

Errors in judgment may have a short-term effect on co-workers and supervisors. Resolve routine problems and concerns, and assign more complex issues to senior accountants or departmental management.
