Job Summary:

This person will be responsible for the management and supervision of both international accounting department. Working closely with corporate accounting, financial reporting, treasury, financial planning and evaluation, plant accounting / finance, and Koch Treasury / Tax groups will also be included in the role. This is a highly visible and valued position within the accounting community, and as far as functional accounting is concerned, the person chosen will be the go-to guy. It is expected that he / she will develop strong working relationships with external auditors and manage the audit documentation collection.

Essential Functions:

Ensures consistency and completeness of international accounting by updating and improving financial accounting experts and controls.
Responsible for month-end termination and restructuring ensuring compliance with GAAP and corporate policy
Assisting with audit and legal reporting activities
Coordinating accounting applications with external auditors
Collaborating with external auditors
Track, guide and train the Global Accounting team
Assist / manage various projects such as SAP integration, system development, process improvement & internal controls Job Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or higher
7 + years of accounting experience
CPA minimum
Strong knowledge of financial systems
Work in a $1B+ sales company
Experience overseeing large teams
Experience in administrative accounting needed
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently as well as day-to-day responsibilities

Recommended qualifications:

Master's degree in accounting
2 + years of management experience (accounting)
Accounting experience in a global manufacturing environment
Audit expenses

Skills and expertise:

Ability to work in a dynamic environment, be versatile and adapt, and cope efficiently with rapid change while staying centered and coordinated
Strong knowledge of US GAAP
Good knowledge of Excel, Word, Consolidation (preferably BPC) and General Ledger (preferably SAP) systems
Good understanding of all financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Comprehensive Income Statement, Statement of Assets of Stockholders, Statement of Cash Flows) and their interrelationships
Experience with a range of financial reporting and accounting practices in large global organizations with a focus on a manufacturing environment
Analytical analytical skills for understanding accounting rules and applying them to actual transactions
Proven ability to work well with others and delegate tasks to meet deadlines
Excellent oral and written co-operation
Ability to work effectively independently with minimal supervision and in teams
Capacity to impact, push, implement change, proactively direct and advise in a rapidly changing business environment while exhibiting a high level of transparency, accountability and cross-functional collaboration.
