Job Summary:

Leads to the operation of the cultivation and open field breeding program by daily plant management. Regular care and treatment of crops. Harvest of crops.

Responsibilities:

Daily care and management of crops.
Perform routine crop care and treatment throughout the growing process, including weeding and Thinning
Perform routine manual flower emasculation and pollination when necessary
Promptly signals any crop anomalies to the Group Leader Seeding and Transplanting Crop harvesting.
Mainly performs manual harvesting of crops during harvesting of seed extraction and cleaning Certain tasks as assigned.
Performs other related activities in support of team efforts
Plant planning and cleaning of greenhouses
Easy maintenance of equipment and buildings

Job Profile:

High school diploma or general education (GED) preferred horticultural preparation, likely obtained through practical experience
Certified forklift and current pesticide applicant's license preferred or ability to obtain skills
Assertive and consistent communicative (verbal and written) skills, including active listening skills
Able to lift the harvested material
Able to frequently bend and crouch
Able to operate farm machinery and to follow safety procedures
Effective English communication skills (verbal)
The ability to speak and understand some English is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) preferred competencies relevant to the position.
Highly reliable and information focused
