Job Summary:
Reporting to the Corporate Engineering Manager, the Plant Engineer shall take over the management of the Plant Buildings, Facilities, Equipment, Systems and Services to ensure their proper operation and maintenance. The person works closely with engineering staff throughout the business to upgrade the factory. The Plant Engineer also provides support to the Maintenance Organization when necessary.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Corporate Engineering Manager, the Plant Engineer shall take over the management of the Plant Buildings, Facilities, Equipment, Systems and Services to ensure their proper operation and maintenance. The person works closely with engineering staff throughout the business to upgrade the factory. The Plant Engineer also provides support to the Maintenance Organization when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Leading / supporting capital equipment / development projects
- Working with Project Engineers to improve quality, runtime and throughput from systems / equipment
- Supporting maintenance company as necessary
- Selecting and tracking contractors providing services
- Writing requisitions / purchase orders for products and equipment needs
- Tracking facilities and working with providers Delivering compliance.
- You will handle all technology, repairs, and improvements to the Plant Telephony Network, including systems, cables, and associated equipment.
- This critical role will be coordinated with a wide range of teams and will have direct contact with business and residential customers.
- You can work in a variety of environments, both indoors and outdoors, to solve complex problems and introduce innovative solutions to keep our customers happy.
- Maintenance Maintenance: Help Full-time Maintenance Manager to manage day-to-day maintenance to package conveyor equipment
- Performing inspections to ensure that the facility meets requirements for cleanliness, energy efficiency and security Interacts with equipment operators and discusses their concerns regarding building or equipment health and conveyor equipment quality
- Software: Using Microsoft Access Download Maintenance Management Software (Maximo) Microft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), add or upgrade patches to your software.
- Reporting: Generate documents documenting the performance and efficiency of the conveyor system Trend reports Analyze Technical Information
- Training: Support Full-time Supervisor during the education of Full-time Maintenance Mechanics on regulatory compliance. Training of staff on the correct use of conveyor equipment on a quarterly basis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Solid understanding of basic machinery
- Good mechanical & electrical aptitude
- Good social & teamwork skills CAD skills with a good understanding of dimensioning & sensitivity is a plus
- Programming experience with Allen Bradley and/or Siemens systems is a plus.
