Job Summary:

Perform any complicated assembly, installation or modification required to produce, enter or otherwise manufacture aircraft lots, lines and major assemblies, section and complete aircraft or advise, assist and organize a team of Aircraft Assembler Installers to perform simple and/or repeated assembly, installation, assembly or modification operations as per Leadman's general instructions.

Responsibilities:

Make complicated installations, such as hanging wing, installation of the engine, landing gear, joining major sections and setting up major jigs.
Mount or rig any fluid system component and operationally check major aircraft fluid systems.
Conduct a number of sealing operations on aircraft.
Carry out a variety of tasks for the design, produce, assembly, installation and practical inspection of electrical wiring, complicated electrical harnesses, packages and parts of electrical systems on aircraft.
Measure out, produce, mount, install and implement a range of modifications on sheet metal components, assemblies and sections of aircraft.
Shakedown complete aircraft, sections, or areas; and render mechanical repairs or replacements, if necessary, .
Visual, physical and instrument inspection of any large aircraft assembly plant.
Perform duties related to the storage, assembling, testing and inspection of assemblies.
Check the work of the group against blueprints, OlS and related information sources for completeness and workmanship.
Carry out complicated rework and repair work and, if necessary, produce sheet metal parts in detail.
Detecting and repairing defective set-up in jigs and notifying Leadman of expected or current shortages.
May periodically conduct hydraulic, fuel or electrical assembly operations, such as continuity checks, including hand pump service.
Keep the work flow on plan, maintain the quality standards, keep the appropriate documentation and keep the work area in a clean and organized state.
Talk to the chief or manager with uncommon problems.

Qualifications:

Equivalent to 4 years of high school graduation plus short specialized training.
Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in this field.
MUST BE FAA AIRFRAME & POWER PLANT CERTIFICATE!!!
Must be able to work individually or as part of a team
Must be able to work flexible hours
General Aviation Piston aircraft experience
Must be able to read wiring diagrams and have troubleshooting skills
Certain abilities include time management, coordination and communication
Turbo-prop experience is a bonus but not needed
Must be self-motivated to work on each task in a timely manner.
Provide that all maintenance conducted is in an airworthy condition
Plan all work assigned in compliance with approved FAA information
Ensure full, correct and reliable documentation of the work performed
Keep the shop area in a clean and orderly manner perform additional duties as required by the supervisor or other management staff.
