Job Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector shall be responsible to the President, Chief Inspector, for the operation of the inspection department and shall have the authority to return to service any airframe or component repaired or modified by that facility. In addition, the inspector is responsible for the inspection of the repair standards, methods and procedures used by the repair station to comply with the applicable CFR and the manufacturer's specifications and recommendations.
Responsibilities:

In addition, the inspector is responsible for the inspection of the repair standards, methods and procedures used by the repair station to comply with the applicable CFR and the manufacturer's specifications and recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial reviews, in-progress inspections and finished research or operational checks. Report inspection documents, documentation and forms used by the Certified Repair Station prior to the return of the aircraft component or air-frame to service.
- Ensure that no damaged, inoperative or non-airworthy-aircraft, component or portion is returned to service by the Certified Repair Station.
- Access to the existing catalog of applicable FAA regulations and standards, including, but not limited to, CFRs, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and appropriate
- Manufacturers ' guides, service bulletins, and component descriptions.
- Determine whether technical data on all aircraft, components and parts that have been overhauled or repaired by the Certified Repair Station is up-to-date with the latest update.
- Ensure that regular checks are carried out on all inspection equipment.
- Track the calibration of the precision test equipment and devices used by the Certified Repair Station and staff using their own precision test equipment.
- Reports of failure or defect upon discovery of the non-airworthy condition(s) of aircraft components in compliance with the provisions of CFR Part 145.221.
- Provide full and detailed information to be included in the work order, the FAA Form 337 as required, and/or the logbook entry for return to service.
- Comply with the acceptance of incoming aircraft components, new parts, raw materials, supplies and check the airworthiness of other aircraft.
- Rejected or unserviceable components are treated by accepted methods.
- Become acquainted with the EASA and DGCA regulations and keep up-to-date on company certifications.
Qualifications:
- Two (2) or more years of experience needed by the aircraft inspector.
- Six (6) years or more of commercial or military aircraft maintenance is expected.
- A high school diploma, a civilian / military technical school, or an acceptable associated education in compliance with FAR Part 65.
- A&P IA Recommended or ability to finish.
