Job Summary:
You will take part in our Pet Training Instructor Accreditation Program to learn the proven techniques developed by leading dog trainers. Once you complete the course, you will emerge as a professional Accredited Dog Trainer specializing in dog behavior and learning theory.
Upon completion, you will be hands-on with your pets and lead our Pet Training Programs. Across our wide range of school programs.

Responsibilities:
- Teaching classes for a variety of dog breeds, sizes and ages Lead each class with a focus on safety and comfort for pets and pet parents
- Show patience for pet parents when training their very excited puppy
- Guide pets through NEW (first ever) Pet Therapy Training Program Have a lot of fun.
- Build strong bonds with your class's two legged and four legged members.
- Overseeing / managing play groups with dogs of varying ages, sizes and play types
- Conducting individual training sessions with dogs of different ages and training levels
- Working with some aggressive and/or demanding dogs
- Walking dogs to pots Some cleaning / administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Have at least one year's experience using positive reinforcement dog training methods and managing dog play groups
- Knowledge of canine behavior and body language
- Confidence in handling large, sometimes reactive dog
- Team player Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Training certification (CPDT-KA, CBATI, IACP-CDT, and KPA-CTP) preferred but not required
