Job Summary:

A valid driver's license and a good record of driving are required. Announces an on-air radio show that is both entertaining and informative to the viewer. Announcer must be an attractive on-air presenter of classical music with a professional, conversational service. S / he should carry out station-generated programming or make music selections in accordance with the station policy. Must have the ability to learn and use broadcast technology. Familiarity with classical music required; radio broadcasting experience desired, but not required.

Responsibilities:

Writes scripts, competitions, and interview questions.
Memorizes scripts, reads, or ad-libs to label stations, initiate and close broadcasts, and announce station breaks, commercials, or public service information.
Prepares and produces an up-to-date presentation by collecting information from wire tape, periodicals, computers and television.
Read the news flash to keep the audience informed of important events.
Records interviews with friends, musicians or other popular or public figures, and edits videos.
Guest interviews, and a moderate panel or debate series to entertain the audience
Answers phone lines and interviews with listeners who ask for music by phone. Airs competitions according to the program director's requirements.
Plans and phases for community events, including organizing and supporting voluntary activities.
Attends live, in-person appearances as arranged by the station or as requested by clients.
Provides video updates from the activity venue.
Maintains and maintains a constructive collaborative atmosphere within the station and a strong community engagement.
Set up equipment for broadcasts and promotions at remote stations.
Ensure that logged-in commercials, advertisements, sweepers and any other programming elements that are important to the operation of the station are broadcast.
It carries out commercial production.
Follows and enforces the FCC rules, station and company practices, including the application of the station / state EAS procedures.
Performs additional duties on small stations, such as production, program director or music director assistance, radio transmitter operation or advertising copy writing.
