Responsibilities:
- Focus on engaged health and wellness research with Indigenous or other offspring communities.
- Geographic and methodological expertise is open but should complement existing program strengths.
- Research is expected to be innovative and methodologically rigorous.
- Dedicated to openness and open study approaches.
- Teaching duties will include four courses in anthropology, split into three academic terms (quarter), contributing to our undergraduate programs in archaeology and aboriginal archaeology as well as our graduate program in archaeology.
- The applicant is expected to teach a method / lab course based on their field of expertise and a short lecture class, using innovative and inclusive pedagogies.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Anthropology or related fields earned by 1 July 2020
- Demonstrated specialization in Archeological Sciences
- Active field and/or laboratory research program with the ability to integrate and provide opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students
- Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Anthropological Archaeology and Anthropology
- A doctorate-or foreign equivalent-in anthropology / archaeology or related fields must have been awarded by the date of appointment; however, applicants who did not complete their PhD at the time of application will be considered.
