Twenty per cent (20 per cent) focuses on other activities, including administrative tasks, such as planning and coordinating; partnering with departments on their alumni outreach strategies; and strategic development events for donor cultivation and stewardship purposes. The
Responsibilities:
- Associate Director must build and maintain an efficient prospect pipeline from unqualified lead to donor.
- The Development Associate designs and implements individual prospect development approaches with the guidance of the supervisor.
- The management officer is a tool for the entire Humanities and Fine Arts Department, but may also be responsible for unique programs and projects under the supervision of the Assistant Dean of Management.
- The Associate Director shall coordinate and/or assist cultivation and stewardship activities in support of the HFA programs and shall be responsible for the scheduling, promotion, execution and follow-up of the events planned, implemented and/or sponsored.
- The Associate Director travels when necessary to build the pipeline, receiving annual and large gifts.
- The Associate Director seeks to ensure that all facets of his / her development program are internally consistent, thematically connected and well organized within the HFA Division and are consistent with the policies and goals of the Management Office and the University.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Priority experience in the development of individual major donors or related careers.
- Proven performance in the production, marketing or related business sector
- Comprehension of developing professional relationships in the design environment
- Learning, ability to articulate programmatic goals with consistency and enthusiasm
- Highest ethical standards, displayed empathy and a positive attitude in the face of challenges and questioned
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong conceptual skills – able to work independently or as a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- initiative, enthusiasm and ability to work well with others
- Attention to detail
- Technically and organizationally sound asset building and delivery
- Knowledge or expertise across all advertising platforms
